Sample Letters to District
A letter of intent (LOI) needs to be completed and sent to your local district. This letter informs the district that you intend to homeschool your child and that you will comply with all Rhode Island homeshool laws.

An end of year (EOY) letter goes to each district at the finish of your 180 days. It states that your child has successfully completed their required course of instruction. Most towns only require the information contained in the sample letter below. Others may require something more detailed. Please provide the minimum required by your district. This helps us maintain the greatest freedom for all homeschoolers.
